Cancer
It's a terrible diagnosis, but it can be cured our managed
Some types of cancer can be cured; if we can do that for you that will be our first priority.
For many people, the best we can do is manage it by slowing the cancer down.
If that is your situation, our goal is to slow it down with treatments that don't make you sick, so you can enjoy the time you have left.
Cancer care is best provided by a medical team. Our role on your team is the Interventional Oncologist.
Other physician members might include your Oncologist, Surgical Oncologist, and Radiation Oncologist.
Most often the Oncologist is the Team Captain. You should ask your Oncologist is there is a role for an Interventional Oncologist on your team.

Conditions we treat
Liver Cancer
Liver cancer can be caused by cells of the liver that have become cancerous, or it can be caused by metastases from other types of cancer that spread to your liver. We have solutions and strategies for both types.
Kidney Cancer
Many small kidney cancers can be completely cured by percutaneous ablation, an outpatient procedure done with sedation or anesthesia.
Lung Cancer
Cancers of the lung can also be treated with ablation, though is surgery is preferred if that is an option for you.
Unknown Cancer
Often, when a mass or lump is found by your doctor or by an imaging exam (CT, MRI, Ultrasound), the next step is to do a Biopsy to determine what it is and what the best treatment for it is.
As Interventional Oncologists we use CT or Ultrasound to guide a needle into the mass or lump to take small pieces of it, this is called an image-guided biopsy and can be done at our locations outside a hospital or within a hospital.
